Megabass Respect 96
Twilight Secret is a Megabass color that attempts to capture the brief window between day and night, sunrise or dusk, when the light is fading and everything goes dark and amber. The finish is built on a see-through Phantom-style body pushed deliberately dark, with tiger barring painted along the flank. Megabass says the idea is a baitfish silhouette picked out against dimming water and catching what light is left. The tiger pattern isn’t the one used on Mat Tiger or Aka Tora. It’s the style used on Viper Tiger. According to Megabass, the color ran from roughly 2010 to 2018 across POP-X, Giant Dog-X, the Deep-X cranks and the Oneten, and it has now come back as a limited, made-to-order Respect Color release.
Because the body is translucent but dark, it keeps a clear outline underwater instead of vanishing. That makes it a good fit for the conditions Megabass recommends: stained or off-color water and low-light periods like early morning, evening or heavy overcast days. On the Vision Oneten it suits those moments when fish are looking up at a silhouette more than at flash, and a bright or reflective finish would look out of place.
