Megabass Respect 26
Triple Illusion dates to around 2002, when Megabass began using illusion (IL) paint — a finish that shifts color depending on the light angle — much more heavily across its lineup. It first appeared on the Vision ONETEN and Giant Dog-X, and the “triple” in its name refers to how it applies three different illusion tones across the back, flank, and tiger pattern, where most other illusion colors only paint the back.
The violet back, muted bronze-red flank, and pale gold tiger pattern shift together as the lure rolls, and unlike other Megabass tiger-pattern colors, which reuse a shared stripe template, this one uses its own custom-cut pattern built specifically to show off the illusion paint. That body-wide color shift is genuinely unique in the lineup, making the Vision Oneten in this finish a strong pick anywhere a subtle, shimmering, lifelike presentation matters more than raw contrast.
