Megabass Secret Oikawa Vision 110

The Secret Oikawa is a highly refined iteration of one of the most fundamental forage patterns from Megabass, designed to mimic the Pale Chub (Oikawa) common in Japanese waterways. Unlike the standard Oikawa finishes which often rely on heavy chrome or hologram flashes, the “Secret” version utilizes a sophisticated GP (Guanium Phantom) base. This provides the lure with a hazy, translucent quality that perfectly captures the understated, organic shimmer of a live baitfish. The aesthetic is completed, perhaps defined even by the chrome vertical barring along the flanks – an almost unique finish in the Megabass line. Although be sure to check out the sister colour – Secret Hasu.

In terms of technical application, the Secret Oikawa is a tactical, pressured water color meant for clear-to-stained visibility. Because it lacks the aggressive reflection of full metallic finishes, it is exceptionally effective on calm, bright days when higher flash lures might over-stimulate or spook wary bass. The phantom finish creates a soft silhouette that blends into the water column, while the subtle chrome barring adds just enough flash to draw in wary predators. Anglers typically turn to this color for finesse applications, such as with the Vision Oneten Junior or Karashi, using it to target fish that are tracking the bait closely and require a natural, non-threatening appearance to commit to the strike.
