Megabass created Modena Bone as a tribute to “XRY,” the classic Heddon color used on icons like the Zara Spook. It sits at the opposite end of the spectrum from a realistic baitfish imitation — the bright yellow back fading into a clear, translucent body is more of a whimsical, old-school American-lure look than a natural pattern, and it has largely disappeared from the current Megabass lineup, making it something of a rarity today.
Despite how unconventional it looks, Modena Bone has proven itself in both muddy and clear water alike, which is part of why it stayed popular even during the years Megabass was best known for hyper-realistic finishes. It was originally built purely for topwater plugs, so the Vision Oneten marks one of the first times it’s been applied to an underwater lure – worth a look for anglers who want a proven old-school pattern in a presentation it’s never really had before.
