Ito Kinari pairs the Ito finish — a Megabass colour code most often associated with clean, natural line-and-flash patterns — with kinari (生成り), a Japanese term for an unbleached, natural cream or ecru shade, though the finish itself leans into a bright, translucent chartreuse-yellow rather than a muted tone. The naming reflects the Megabass habit of drawing on traditional Japanese colour and textile vocabulary even for its brighter, more attention-grabbing finishes.
As a high-visibility, translucent colour, Ito Kinari works well in stained water or lower light, where its bright yellow-green base still reads clearly to both fish and angler. Fished on the Vision Oneten SR with a shallow, slow-rolling retrieve, it’s a good option for early-season rivers running slightly off-colour, or for covering water quickly as a search colour before switching to a more natural pattern once fish are located.
