LZ Autumn Halation belongs to the Megabass Lazer (LZ) finish family, which uses fine reflective flake beneath the paint to throw extra reflection and sparkle without a full metallic base, applied here over an unusual, deep reddish-brown body with a near-black back. The result reads as a rich, autumnal baitfish colour, with the “halation” in the name nodding to the soft, glowing flash the Lazer base gives off around the edges of each scale line.
This is a good choice for fishing river systems as the water cools and clarity tends to improve, when a natural but slightly warm-toned finish can outperform brighter, more artificial colours. The subtle Lazer sparkle gives it enough presence to work in mildly stained water too, and it suits a slow, methodical jerk-pause retrieve aimed at drawing a considered strike from wary fish rather than a reflex bite.
