Megabass TLC Vision 110

Megabass Respect 47

The TLC colorway is a revered, limited-release pattern from Megabass, first introduced around 2002 alongside its sister color, TLO (Twilight Orange). TLC stands for “Twilight Chart,” and it features the combination of a natural clear body with a striking, flamboyant chartreuse belly. This “clear chart” or “chart belly” design is a prime example of balancing natural appeal with a high-visibility attractor. Another key feature is the typically rare, two-tone back color, often featuring contrasting violet and white hues, which is intended to create a flickering, natural-yet-visible effect. Like TLO, its limited availability on baits like the X-70, Bait-X Concept, and in the Megabass Respect Series gives it a high degree of collectability, often commanding premium prices among lure aficionados.

Conceptually, TLC is positioned as a special color optimized for the “twilight” period, specifically the bright hours just after dawn and just before dusk, similar to TLO. The flashy chartreuse belly is the main fish-attracting element, designed to maximize appeal and trigger reaction bites in low-light conditions and even sight fishing on tough, clear lakes. The chartreuse creates an excellent contrast and visibility against a clear body, making it ideal for situations where a bright, aggressive color is needed to draw a fish’s attention, yet the body remains transparent for a more natural profile. This coloring is also highly effective in saltwater for species like sea bass, making it a highly versatile, year-round “reaction” color choice when water clarity is high or light penetration is low.
