Megabass Respect 62
This striped take on GP Phantom was only produced for a brief window around 1997, originally applied solely to the Giant Dog-X. The standard GP Phantom was already a near-mythical color among long-time Megabass fans, and this version adds a iridescent pale-brown wash across the head and back plus the pale pearlescent stripes, which complicates the random flash of the holographic foil into something closer to the shimmer of a young bluegill.
Like the original GP Phantom it’s built from, this striped version is aimed at clear water and heavily pressured lakes where fish have already seen every bright, obvious pattern. It’s less a searching color than a finesse one on the Vision Oneten — reach for it on hard-fished, technical clear-water venues where a subtler, more lifelike flash is what finally gets a bite.
