LZ Chart Back Yamame reworks the natural colouring of the yamame, Japan’s landlocked cherry salmon and one of the country’s most sought-after native stream trout, keeping the fish’s lavender-pink flanks and dark parr marks but swapping its usual olive back for a bright chartreuse back and boosted by the Megabass ‘Lazer’ finish. It’s a hybrid approach: true to the yamame’s markings from the lateral line down, but tuned for angler visibility from above.
The chartreuse back makes this colour easier for anglers to track and potentially for fish to spot from a distance in the broken currents and shaded pools yamame typically hold in, while the naturalistic flank keeps the profile convincing at close range. It’s well suited to mountain stream fishing in moderate flow or light stain, worked with a twitch-and-glide retrieve through pocket water and current seams where yamame ambush drifting prey.
