HT Hama Shirasu pairs an olive-gold back with the Megabass HT, half ghost, half metallic finish – but with a twist. In the HT Hama Shirasu, the bottom half of the body is metallic whilst the top half is see-through. This layout is not unique but the less common delivery of HT. This color’s name points to hama shirasu, the tiny beach-caught whitebait sold fresh along Japan’s coastline and scooped up in huge numbers by inshore predators, and the washed-out, faintly translucent finish is built to match that small, almost colorless bait rather than a fuller-bodied baitfish.
That pale, low-contrast look is suited to bright, calm days over sand or light-colored bottom, where a heavier color would stand out against the washed-out water instead of blending into it. The HT finish gives just enough flash. On the Vision Oneten SW it reads as a school of whitebait scattering near the surface, making it a natural pick when predators are keyed in on small fry moving in tight, nervous groups close to shore.
