Rising Sun and Crystal Lime Frog were both custom colors from the mid-2000s, made only for topwater plugs like PopX and Prop Darter 80. Rising Sun takes that clear-base concept about as far as Megabass has ever gone, leaving the body almost entirely colorless aside from a faint pale-chartreuse tint along the back — enough of a departure from the usual Megabass color concepts that it only stayed in production for a short run before a version with an added orange tail spot took over, making this original a genuinely scarce find.
Despite the name, its best window isn’t dawn — it’s the middle of a bright, sunny day, when full sunlight passes straight through the clear body and keeps the lure from looking unnatural to fish that have already refused more realistic colors. The faint back tint gives just enough visibility for the angler, which makes the Vision Oneten in this finish a solid choice for sight-fishing tough, clear lakes in the middle of the day.
